The Social History Study Of Immigrants In The Nanliu River Basin During The Ming And Qing Dynasties

Guangxi is a region inhabited by immigrants.Since the Qin and Han Dynasties,immigrants have continuously entered Guangxi.In the Ming and Qing Dynasties,the number of immigrants from other provinces who spontaneously moved to Guangxi increased,and the immigration of immigrants had a profound impact on the population distribution pattern and social changes in Guangxi.The Nanliu River Basin is located in the southeast of Guangxi.Before modern times,the traffic across Guangxi and Guangdong provinces was superior in climate,transportation and geographical location,attracting a large number of immigrants.The Ming and Qing Dynasties were the peak period when immigrants from Fujian,Jiangxi,Zhejiang and Guangdong entered the Nanliu River Basin.The arrival of immigrants had a profound impact on the social changes in the basin.Mainly in:First,although the Nanliu River Basin was an area where immigrants developed earlier,there were immigrants to the Nanliu River Basin from the Qin and Han Dynasties to the Tang and Song Dynasties,but they were mainly small-scale development and had little impact on the Nanliu River Basin.During the Ming and Qing Dynasties,especially in the Qing Dynasty,large-scale spontaneous immigrants entered the Nanliu River Basin.These immigrants were economic immigrants.In the basin,they were engaged in business or farming.Through the development of Fujian and Guangdong merchants,including Hakka people,they had a profound impact on the economic development in the basin,such as the prosperity of the economy in the city.Secondly,the arrival of immigrants not only promoted the economic development of the Nanliug River Basin,but also promoted the social and cultural changes in the basin,because the immigrants from Fujian and Guangdong as the main body,also brought the culture of the original hometown into the basin,and with strong influence,became the main culture in the Nanliu River Basin.Of course,the interaction between immigrants and local residents also promotes the integration of culture,and also affects the changes of social culture in the region to a certain extent.Third,the Hakka immigrants with Fujian and Guangdong as the main body entered the Nanliu River Basin,and brought the structural system of the Hakka society into the basin,such as gathering clans into ancestral halls,uniting clans with the carrier of ancestral halls,multiplying and developing,which objectively affected the development of local society.
