Clay language is the artistic language expressed by the clay materials and techniques used in pottery creation.Through re-examining and feeling the clay,the most simple and true material beauty of the clay can be brought into play.Compared with traditional ceramic art,modern ceramic art has more diversified forms of expression,which is an important bridge for artists to express their inner emotions.The diverse expression of clay language also provides more new thinking and new forms for the creation of modern pottery.Combined with this theme creation,this paper studies the application of clay language in modern pottery creation,which is not only a summary of the author’s postgraduate study,but also a new exploration of the author’s modern pottery creation.In this paper,the application of clay language in modern pottery creation is taken as the entry point,combined with the research background and specific practice process of “Recall” series creation,the comprehensive application and presentation mode of clay language in modern pottery creation is analyzed theoretically and practically.This paper interprets the expression of clay language in modern pottery creation from different angles,and sums up the representation of objects and images conveyed by different forms of clay language in modern pottery creation,as well as the artistic aesthetics and emotional expression displayed.This paper takes the study on the expression language of modern pottery creation as the main idea,and on the basis of combing the context,takes the clay language as the main line of modern pottery creation to expand.While discussing the expression of clay language,it also summarizes the multiple development of modern pottery creation,and studies the presentation way of clay language through this graduation creation.
