Study On "Going Western Entrance" And Commercial Development Of Guisui Area In Qing Dynasty

"Going western entrance" in Qing Dynasty was a emigration movement with great influence in our history,which lasted a long time and had a large scale.From the reign of Kangxi in Qing Dynasty to the beginning of the Republic of China,a large number of people from Shanxi,Hebei and Shaanxi left their native lands and came to make a living outside the Great Wall,which opened up the channel of economic and cultural exchanges inside and outside the Great Wall and promoted the prosperity and development of northern frontier region.From the perspective of "going western entrance",the paper goes deep into the study of Hohhot’s business history,trying to expand the field and scope of the study of the business history in northern frontier region.At the same time,it adds the research field of the history of Shanxi merchants’ activities and the development history of commerce and trade in northern frontier region,in order to make a contribution to the research of the economic history of northern frontier region.The article is divided into five parts.The first part of the introduction mainly introduces the background,significance and research methods of the research,sorts the relevant literature,and explains the innovation points and shortcomings of the paper.The second part will explain the influence of going western entrance on the rise of commerce in Guisui area from three aspects:geographical location and social environment,the encouragement and guidance of government policies,and the rise of commerce in Guisui area.The third part is "going western entrance" and the development of commerce in Guisui area,mainly introducing the production and characteristics of main commodities in the area of Guisui,commodity transportation and marketing,business types of the merchant who went western entrance and commercial organizations in the city of Guihua.This paper describes the trade rules of different commodities in Guisui area in Qing Dynasty,reflects the influence of commodity production,transportation and marketing and superstructure on the development of commercial trade in Guisui area,and focuses on the commercial characteristics of Guisui area,which is the essential understanding of the commercial trade in Guisui area.The fourth part analyzes "going western entrance" the commercial development in the overall economic and social environment of Guisui area.On the basis of understanding the internal structure and characteristics of Guisui area,it analyzes the influence and contribution on the economy and society,and rationally recognizes the influence of trade exchanges on commercial circulation,economic development,cultural exchange and other aspects.It is a rational understanding of commerce in Guisui area.The fifth part draws enlightenment from the above analysis,modern Hohhot development should pay attention to the agglomeration of human resources,promote the optimization of economic structure,promote the perfection of commercial system.This part enriches the content of commerce in Guisui area and is a deep understanding of the commercial development of Guisui area.Take history as a mirror to promote the further development and prosperity of Hohhot’s commerce in the new era.This paper mainly uses literature research method,correlation analysis method and case analysis method to study "going western entrance" and the commercial development of Guisui area in the Qing Dynasty.Taking history as a mirror,it focuses on the positive role and social changes brought by the "going western entrance" and the commercial development of Guisui area,hoping to provide some historical enlightenment for the commercial development of today’s Hohhot and provide historical basis for Inner Mongolia as the forefront of China’s "One Belt,One Road" cause in the new era.It has certain practical significance for promoting the implementation of the current "One Belt,One Road" initiative.
