The difficulty of natural beauty is the interpretation of the nature of natural beauty.To overcome the difficulty of natural beauty is not only related to the research path and logical starting point of many aesthetic problems such as natural beauty and artistic beauty,but also determines the legitimacy of the existence of aesthetics itself to some extent.This characteristic is especially evident in the stage of aesthetic history in which the problem of natural beauty is taken as an example of the essence of beauty.In the course of the development of the history of contemporary Chinese aesthetics,the discussion of aesthetics in the 1950 s and 1960 s of the 20 th century in China developed precisely in such an aesthetic environment.In the great discussion of aesthetics in China in the 1950 s and 1960 s of the 20 th century,the definition of the essence of beauty is the absolute consensus of Chinese aesthetics scholars.On the basis of this absolute consensus,the four well-known masters of aesthetics were formed in the Chinese aesthetic circle,which was collectively referred to as the school of practical beauty in later aesthetic writing.However,the disadvantages of using the nature of natural beauty as an illustration of the answer to the question of the nature of beauty are also obvious.When there is a conflict between people’s cognition of natural beauty and the nature of beauty,the maintenance of the nature of beauty is often realized through the reduction of natural beauty.When the actual existence of natural things is contrary to the theory of natural beauty,the interpretation of the essence of natural beauty is confronted with the correction and counterbalance of real life.Natural beauty has become a difficult problem in aesthetic research.From an objective point of view,the reason why natural beauty became the focus of contention in the great aesthetic discussion in China in the 1950 s and 1960 s in the 20 th century was due to the special attention and persistent pursuit of natural beauty by the Chinese aesthetic scholars who participated in the aesthetic debate.Instead of being “abandoned” or “ignored” as in the West,the question of natural beauty has become the “second biggest issue” in the discussion of aesthetics.The appearance of natural beauty or natural beauty has become the focus of aesthetics scholars,it is not an accident of history.On the contrary,the appearance of natural beauty in contemporary Chinese aesthetics has its own inevitability,which is the product of the joint action of specific social context and relevant theoretical achievements in China in the1950 s and 1960 s of the 20 th century.The former mainly includes “Zhu Guangqian’s critique of idealism”,“the influence of the former Soviet Union’s aesthetic thought pattern” and “the need of Chinese social construction”.The latter involves three different theoretical dimensions: “the need for the transformation of traditional natural beauty theory” “the enlightenment of Western modern aesthetic thought” and “the construction of Chinese Marxist aesthetic theory”.It is under the action of these factors that the appearance of natural beauty in Chinese contemporary aesthetics is possible,and on this basis,it stimulates the academic passion of the participants in the aesthetic discussion.In the interpretation of the nature of natural beauty,four different kinds of natural beauty have been formed,namely,Zhu Guangqian’s unionist natural beauty,CAI Yi’s objective natural beauty,Ga Ertai’s subjective natural beauty and Li Zehou’s objective social natural beauty.Although the four schools have different views on the discussion of natural beauty,However,there are some similarities in the theoretical basis of the generation of natural beauty problems.As for the natural things as aesthetic objects,it is the different regulations of aesthetics scholars on the boundary of natural things that make the identity of natural things that seem approachable become quite rich in the field of aesthetics.For the aesthetic subject,the argument and interpretation of the legitimacy of the complexity of aesthetic feeling further transplanted the relevant emotional factors of the natural aesthetic appreciator to the natural beauty itself.In addition,the aesthetic scholars pursuit of the appropriateness of natural aesthetic appreciation methods objectively expresses the subjective tendency of the aesthetic scholars in the construction of Chinese contemporary natural aesthetics,thus exacerbating the occurrence of aphasia of natural beauty.At the same time,the problem of natural beauty has a special enlightenment value to the construction of Chinese contemporary aesthetics.As a branch of Chinese Marxist aesthetic discourse practice,the contention of aesthetics scholars on the difficult problem of natural beauty not only promotes the guiding position of Marxist aesthetic thought,but also spreads the relevant knowledge and theory of natural aesthetics in the process of contention,and encourages more aesthetic newcomers to participate in it,thus cultivating talents for the development of aesthetics in China.Facilitating the development of aesthetics in China;In terms of the development of natural aesthetics itself,the interpretation of the essence of natural beauty by aesthetics scholars has laid the foundation for the generation and development of contemporary Chinese natural aesthetics,and has become the theoretical origin of the construction of natural aesthetics such as post-practical aesthetics and new practical aesthetics schools,highlighting the dichotomy of subject and object of contemporary Chinese aesthetics and the aesthetic task to overcome.It becomes an important discourse resource for the dialogue between contemporary Chinese aesthetics and the world aesthetics.In view of this,to overcome the problem of natural beauty,we need to get rid of the subjective tendency in the concept of “naturalization”,discover the natural things in reality,and seek effective ways to overcome the problem of natural beauty under the premise that natural things are as they are.In this regard,Chinese contemporary esthetics researchers give different dimensions to the problem of natural beauty positive and effective response,and actively improve the interpretation of the nature of natural beauty;On the contrary,post-modernism aesthetics,whether constructive post-modernism or qualitative post-modernism,cancels the legitimacy and truth status of the existence of the natural beauty problem,and cannot really overcome the problem of natural beauty.To overcome the problem of natural beauty,we need to seek the truth of natural beauty in “time” on the basis of critically inheriting the existing natural beauty achievements in China and the West,so as to provide a new research perspective and aesthetic path for overcoming the problem of natural beauty.
