Documentary films are an important means of dissemination and expression for rural images.From the depiction of the traditional rural landscape in the 1970 s and 1980 s to the shaping of the local culture in the new rural areas in the 21 st century,from the narrative of the suffering of the grassroots people to the happy narrative of the beautiful countryside in the new era,rural documentaries all record the changes in Chinese rural history.In the context of rural revitalization,a number of documentaries have been produced in China that integrate "rural" and "youth".These documentaries focus on the main body of "returning youth" and vividly tell the story of contemporary youth returning to their hometowns to help rural revitalization.This theme injects fresh blood into rural documentaries and becomes an important window for the younger generation to understand the new era and new countryside.With the advent of the digital era,documentaries are actively changing their voice and starting to develop towards a younger age.In the creation of young people as the main storyline,new approaches to rural documentaries should be explored.For example,how can documentaries on the theme of youth returning home make their images more vivid and youthful? How should Chinese rural stories be told and disseminated from the perspective of youth?This is a question that documentary creators need to consider,and it is also the foothold of this paper.The author used literature analysis and case study methods to sort out and study documentaries on the theme of youth returning to their hometowns.At the same time,in-depth field research was conducted at the shooting location,and combined with the creative practice experience of "Magic Brush Ma Liang" in the countryside,the narrative function and theme,narrative perspective,narrative space Analyze the narrative performance of the youth returning home themed documentary film "youthfulness" presented in the market from four aspects of narrative language.Compared to traditional rural documentaries,youth returning home themed documentaries play a special narrative function due to their unique historical background,shouldering the historical mission of "rural revitalization".At the same time,they focus on typical young and inspirational characters,telling vivid and interesting advanced deeds,presenting a positive and clear visual style,thereby highlighting the epochal narrative theme of "youth power";In terms of narrative perspective,individual destiny reflects the development of the times,individual emotions are used to write the feelings of family and country to complete individual narrative,and multiple narrative perspectives such as internal,external,and omniscient are used to observe the growth of young people,thus expanding the dialogue space between the work and the youth group from a youthful narrative perspective;In terms of narrative space,geographical space,as the field where the story takes place,promotes the regional expression of "rural",while social space is presented as an exploration of social relationships.Spiritual space,as a space in the field of consciousness,is the key to the construction of diverse spatial types in documentaries on this topic;In terms of narrative language,the combination of "rural+youth" is more vivid and interesting,and the sound language of "original sound+commentary" is more youthful and passionate.Faced with many young audiences,we should actively grasp the acceptance psychology of young people,and can achieve "youthfulness" through audio-visual elements such as documentary footage,dynamic and static combination,delayed photography,commentary,simultaneous sound,and background sound.Although some of the existing documentaries on the theme of youth returning to their hometowns in the market are representative,it cannot be denied that they still have certain shortcomings in terms of creation.In the final chapter,the author summarizes two opinions on this issue,and combines the creative practice of his own work "Magic Brush Ma Liang" in the countryside to reflect on the problem and summarize the experience,in order to provide some reference for the creation and research of youth return home themed documentaries. |
