A Study On The Name Words Of The Sui Ethnic Group

The name words of the Sui ethnic group is an important part of the language system and culture of the Sui ethnic group,and it is an important tool for the Sui people to carry out social communication.As a social language phenomenon,the name words of the Sui ethnic group reflects the history and culture,thinking mode,aesthetic concept,characteristics of the times and ethnic characteristics of the Sui ethnic group.On the basis of field investigation,this paper takes the name words of the Sui ethnic group as the research object,and mainly uses the descriptive method and the related theories of cultural linguistics to systematically describe and analyze the name words of the Sui ethnic group.This paper is divided into three parts.The first part is the introduction.The introduction mainly introduces the reasons of the topic,the significance of the research,the research status of the name words of the Chinese-Tibetan family,research methods and innovations.The second part is the text,a total of four chapters.The first chapter analyzes the origin and evolution of the name words of the Sui ethnic group.According to our research,the early name of the Sui ethnic group has no family name,and now the family names of the Sui ethnic group are mainly borrowed from the Han ethnic group.The Sui ethnic group generally adopted the family names of the Han ethnic group in the middle of the Qing Dynasty.The name words of the Sui ethnic group previously were also taken from the Sui language,and later gradually were adopted Chinese characters to name themselves.In the early 21 st century,the Sui ethnic group completely switched to the names of the Han ethnic group.The evolution of the name words of the Sui ethnic group has experienced four processes: the name without surname——Han family name +the name of Sui language——Han family name + class word + the name of Sui language — — the name of ethnic Han.The second chapter introduces the classification the name words of the Sui ethnic group,and analyzes the phonetic characteristics of the name words of the Sui ethnic group.The name words of the Sui ethnic group are mostly monosyllabic,nasal final and flat tone.The name words of multiple peers in the family(clan)have the phonetic characteristics of same initial,same rhyme,same tone,same initial + same rhyme,same initial + same tone,same rhyme + same tone and so on.The three chapter analyzes the lexical features,semantic features and grammatical features of the name words of the Sui ethnic group.According to the number of syllables,the name words of the Sui ethnic group can be divided into monosyllabic words,two-syllable words and three-syllable words.According to the number of morphemes,the name words of the Sui ethnic group can be divided into simple words and compound words.According to the way of word formation,the name words of the Sui ethnic group can be divided into modifying forms,verb-object forms,subject-predicate forms,supplementary forms and additive forms.In addition to the conceptual meaning,the name words of the Sui ethnic group also have symbolic meaning,stylistic meaning,associative meaning and emotional meaning.The fourth chapter analyzes the nomenclature reasons of the name words of Sui ethnic group,and its social function,social psychology,ethnic characteristics and other cultural connotations.The third part is the conclusion,which sums up the main research achievements and the shortcomings still existing in this paper.
