In the new century,ecological environmental protection has been promoted to a national strategic development project,and the coordinated development of man and nature has received more and more attention.How to grasp the direction,take the express train of my country’s rapid economic development in recent years,and realize the common prosperity of the local economy and ecology is a hot topic worth discussing at the moment.In recent years,Zhangjiakou City Government has begun to realize the importance of ecological environment protection.It has not only learned from previous good practices,vigorously promoted the policy of returning farmland to forests,increased illegal costs,imposed heavy penalties on environmentally-damaging industrial enterprises and forestry enterprises,and various ecological compensations.The measures have achieved initial results,providing strong support for the high-quality economic development of Zhangjiakou City.From the perspective of ecological compensation performance,this paper first comprehensively analyzes and summarizes the experiences and existing problems in ecological protection and construction in various counties and districts of Zhangjiakou City,and applies the principal component analysis method to the evaluation of ecological compensation performance through the use of econometric models.The county horizontal data comparison is used to measure the current ecological status of Zhangjiakou City,and to provide a decision-making reference for the forestry ecosystem compensation of Xiahuayuan.Using relevant economic paradigms,typical economic,environmental,and social development indicators are selected as research indicators.The performance of forestry ecological compensation in 16 districts and counties of Zhangjiakou City and the entire city of Zhangjiakou was measured twice.The impact of the dimensions between the indicators was eliminated through indicator standardization,and then the collected multiple indicators reflecting the ecological environment performance were reduced through principal component analysis.It is finally simplified into three main components of ecological benefit,economic benefit,and social benefit.Finally,regression analysis is used to specify the different impact weights of agriculture,forestry,and water affairs expenditures on the three benefits,and comprehensive evaluation of ecological compensation performance.The research results of this article have further enriched the content of the research on the performance of forestry engineering ecological compensation,and at the same time provided a theoretical reference for the ecological transformation and development of Zhangjiakou City.
