Monk calligraphy has an independent concept of calligraphy and writing tradition,and is an important part of the history of Chinese calligraphy.As far as the Ming Dynasty is concerned,Hanshan Deqing is a typical representative of calligraphy monks in the Ming Dynasty.He not only has superb writing skills,but also has very rich calligraphy ideas,and has many contacts with first-class calligraphers in the late Ming Dynasty.In view of this,the research on Hanshan Deqing calligraphy is mainly divided into the following three chapters.The first chapter is the investigation of Hanshan Deqing’s life parallel traces,calligraphy friendship and calligraphy activities.Hanshan Deqing traveled all over most of the country in his life,got acquainted with first-class calligraphers such as Dong Qichang,Qian Qianyi,Wang Shizhen,Zhao Yiguang,etc.,and expanded his influence through self-written Buddhist scriptures and preface calligraphy,and played an important role in the calligraphy world of the late Ming Dynasty.The second chapter is the investigation of Hanshan Deqing’s calligraphy thought.Han Shan Deqing believes that the calligraphy department flows from the heart,and to learn calligraphy,one should put forward his own opinions on the basis of practicing the ancients.In the creation of calligraphy,he advocated the creation state of "undisturbed mind",and proposed the creation methods of "reciting Buddhist scriptures","seeking good things without intention" and "writing by pleasure".In the writing of Buddhist scriptures,on the one hand,he emphasized the huge function of scriptures,and on the other hand,he believed that one should not only be obsessed with writing Buddhist scriptures.In addition,Han Shan Deqing believed that the fine and precise regular script should be the best for calligraphy works,and also expressed his appreciation for Su Shi’s Lingnan calligraphy and Huang Tingjian’s calligraphy.The third chapter is the investigation of Hanshan Deqing’s calligraphy art.Hanshan Deqing has 12 extant calligraphy,mainly in Xingshu,among which the traces of learning from the calligraphy of Jin and Tang Dynasties,Su Shi’s calligraphy and Huang Tingjian’s calligraphy are very obvious.In addition,Hanshan Deqing’s "Huaijingtu Poems" is closer to Mi Fu’s "Tiaoxi Poems" in terms of composition and structure.All these are helpful to deeply understand Han Shan Deqing’s free and easy writing style. |
