A Study Of Jiangxi Epitaphs In The Southern Song Dynasty

As an important unearthed document,epitaphs have important value in literature,history,calligraphy,philology,sociology,religion and so on.The epitaph contains a series of important information,such as the character image,family lineage,life story,official experience,literary friendship and so on.A large number of epitaph materials are conducive to the thematic discussion of "knowing people and discussing the world" for a single tomb owner,and also conducive to the overall study of the tomb owner and his family lineage.Jiangnan West Road is one of the most prosperous areas in the Song Dynasty,and it is also an important cultural town in the Song Dynasty.A series of new epitaphs in Jiangxi in the Southern Song Dynasty are of great significance for the study of the society,economy,history and culture of the region.This paper includes four parts: introduction,body,conclusion and appendix.The introduction introduces the research background,research status,research methods and innovation;The appendix is the statistical table of epitaphs in Jiangxi in the central and Southern Song Dynasty in the text of the whole Song Dynasty and the table of epitaphs written by rural tribute scholars in Jiangxi in the newly published epitaphs of the Song Dynasty(volume of the Southern Song Dynasty).The main body of the paper is divided into three chapters:The first chapter is about the local families in Jiangxi epitaphs of the Southern Song Dynasty.According to the author’s research,the more successful medium-sized scholar families in this area include Fengcheng Fan family and Fushan Sun family.The fan family valued genealogy and Confucianism,so it cultivated many excellent scholars.Fan Yu,the real writer who impeached Qin huizazi,was one of the members of the family.The sun family abides by family justice and attaches importance to political marriage,so its family has gradually developed into a medium-sized scholar family with "Confucian Binbin".The second chapter is about the imperial examination culture and education in Jiangxi epitaphs of the Southern Song Dynasty.Paying attention to the cultural education of the imperial examination in the unearthed documents is not only an important extension and supplement to the study of the imperial examination system,but also an important link in the study of the imperial examination.The second chapter mainly discusses the cultural education of the imperial examination in Jiangxi Province in the Southern Song Dynasty from three aspects: the importance of the middle and lower level civilian families to the imperial examination,the way for the middle and lower level scholars to enter the official position,the outlet and living state of the middle and lower level scholars.The third chapter is the new literary writing in Jiangxi epitaphs in the Southern Song Dynasty.Among the Jiangxi epitaphs of the Southern Song Dynasty,there are a group of epitaph writers with certain literary literacy.Their epitaphs are highly literary and biographical,reflecting the superb level of literary writing.This chapter demonstrates from four angles,analyzes and studies the literary writing in Jiangxi epitaphs in the Southern Song Dynasty.These four angles are the "truth-seeking concept" and "letter transmission purpose" of the epitaph,the stylistic characteristics of the epitaph,the imitation of Han and Liu Zhiwen by the epitaph writers in Jiangxi in the Southern Song Dynasty,and the diversification of the description methods of the epitaph.
