The tomb of Fuhao was excavated in 1976,and a large number of bronze ritual vessels, exquisite jade articles and some musical instruments were unearthed in the tomb. The musical instruments unearthed in the tomb of Fuhao were often discussed in the past, but most of the analysis and research were carried out on a specific problem or a certain musical instrument, and some problems still remain unsolved. The article takes the musical instruments unearthed from the tomb of Fuhao as the research object, and conducts a special research on the tomb of Fuhao. This paper introduces the unearthed situation of musical instruments such as Bian Nao、Shi Qing、Tao Xun and Bells unearthed in the tomb of Fuhao, and studies each musical instrument and other related issues related to musical life.It studies the naming, grouping, and shape characteristics of Bian Nao;the identity question of Shi Qing;the development process of Taoxun and the development of scales it reflects;the relationship between the function and shape of Bells;the identity question of Fou;the burial syetem of musical instruments in the late Shang period.Through the methods of literature research, logical reasoning, double evidence and comparative research, the following understandings are drawn: The 5 Bian Nao are composed of two groups, one of which is missing from one group;the name of "Nao" is not easy to be changed to "Yong ";The shape of the Bian Nao in the tomb of Fuhao is generally small, and the shape of the Bian Nao unearthed in Shandong area is more stable than that in Yinxu area;"Ren Zhu Ru Shi" is less likely to be used as Shi Qing, and a new conjecture of "grinding stone" is proposed at the same time;3 pieces of Bian Qing may be 3 pieces of Te Qing;In the Shang Dynasty, the heptatonic scale may have existed, and it had the conditions for the development of the twelve-law scale;Taoxun reached its peak in the Shang Dynasty, and then its function as a musical instrument gradually declined; There is no direct connection between the shape and function of the Bells;the Fou unearthed in the tomb of Fuhao cannot be discussed as a musical instrument;there may have been a simple burial system for musical instruments in the late Shang Dynasty.
