Research On Narrative Strategy And Image Practice Of Group Image Character Documentary

Group character documentary is one of the most important types of character documentary.It has profound practical significance in paying attention to the real life of characters and expressing their images.Group character documentaries have more character images than other types of character documentaries.Therefore,how to use narrative strategies and audio-visual techniques to show the characteristics of group images in character documentaries is particularly important.The graduation work “Xin An” focuses on a group closely related to the development of coal mines,including coal miners,owners of restaurants around coal mines and fishermen deeply affected by coal mining.Through the recording of a series of events such as the daily life and work of these groups of characters,combined with the narrative strategy and image language theory of the documentary,show full and three-dimensional character images,tell touching group stories,improve the aesthetic value and social value of group image character documentary,and create good works loved by the public.This paper is divided into four parts.The first part is the introduction,which expounds the research background,research purpose and research methods.The second is the first chapter of the text,which analyzes the current situation of the creation of group image character documentary,describes the basic characteristics,current situation and problems of group image character documentary,and expounds the topic selection of the graduation work “Xin An”.Then it shows the narrative strategy of the graduation work “Xin An”,which is expounded from two perspectives:narrative perspective and narrative structure.Finally,it presents the image language of the graduation work “Xin An”,and makes a detailed discussion from the aspects of shooting techniques,lens language,sound and editing.Through the combination of theoretical research and work creation,I have a deeper understanding of the creation of group image character documentary,and hope to provide some ideas and inspiration for the future creation and research of group image character documentary,and promote the emergence of more relevant works.
