| Wang Shiduo was a famous geographer,historian and scholar at the end of the Qing Dynasty.He studied with Hu Pei-hui and Cheng Enze,and had close relationships with political figures such as Zeng Guofan and Hu Linyi,as well as with poets such as Mo Youzhi,Zheng Zhen,Wang Baixin and Ma Shouling.His academic achievements have received a lot of praise,but the current academic research on Wang Shiduo is mainly in his thoughts and historiography,while there is no systematic research on his thousands of poems,so this paper carries out research on this.The first chapter is about Wang Shiduo’s life experience and friends,and his literary works are introduced.The second chapter introduces the trend of thought and wang Shiduo’s thought and literary view.As an advocate of pragmatism,Wang Shiduo severely criticized the ethos of indulging in imperial examinations and writing useless essays,and devoted himself to solving practical problems of the society.This kind of practical first,shame for the thought of empty text also affected his literary creation and literary view.The third chapter is a concrete analysis of wang Shiduo’s poetry content.On the one hand,Wang’s poetry records the history of the late Qing Dynasty,on the other hand,it is also his personal sentimental history.Through his poems,we can see the images of various types of literati and the social picture of political corruption and poor people under the social turmoil.Wang Shiduo’s complicated personal experience and contradictory thoughts often make him in a kind of crying without cause,do not know what to do.Chapter four is the analysis of the artistic style of Wang Shiduo’s poetry.Wang Shiduo’s poems are influenced by the identity of scholars and the poetry atmosphere of the Song Dynasty,which reflects the tendency of learning and discussion.Some poems are difficult and unyielding,with dense literary quotation,and they are good at snatching and reinventing themselves by using previous poems.Wang poetry presents a variety of artistic features,mainly embody plain,sincere,vigorous,cold,depression and sadness.As a famous scholar in Nanjing in the late Qing Dynasty,Wang Shiduo had frequent contacts with poets of the Song poetry school.His poetry reflected the characteristics of scholar poetry,but he did not create a large number of textual research poems,but focused on the chronicle and the expression of people.His poetry has rich and real emotions and is full of personal color. |
