| Life education is the education based on life.It is the basis of teaching,one of the right ways to implement “moral education”,and points out the direction of education development.The rapid development of society has created more favorable conditions for teenagers to understand the world and increase knowledge.Meanwhile some undesirable information and negative events have quietly had a negative impact on them,leading to the indifference of teenagers’ life consciousness and the loss of life meaning,which has seriously affected their physical and mental health growth.This undoubtedly gives a warning to our teaching work.We should integrate life education into teaching,so that respecting and treating life well become the most needed education in the process of students’ growth.The general goal of English Curriculum in the stage of compulsory education clearly points out that the five aspects of language knowledge,language skills,emotional attitude,learning strategies and cultural awareness complement each other,which fully reflects the characteristics of instrumental and humanistic integration of English discipline.Through English learning,students not only master knowledge,but also change their attitude of respecting,cherishing and caring for life,which is conducive to the healthy development of body and mind.Therefore,this paper focuses on junior high school English teaching and takes life education as the starting point,trying to explore how to organically combine the two,so as to better highlight the characteristics of humanistic care in English curriculum.In this study,the students and English teachers of Wenyuan Middle School and Sha Zhen Middle School in Liaocheng City,from the first to the third year of junior high school were taken as the research subjects.Combining with the literature research,through the questionnaire survey method,interview method,classroom observation method to investigate the current situation of integrating life education into English teaching in junior high schools.At the same time,we should try to analysis of the current existing problems and the reasons and put forward reasonable improvement strategies.The results show that the following problems exist in the integration of life education in junior middle school English teaching: On one hand,most junior middle school students lack the cognitive ability of life education.On the other hand,English teachers do not know enough about life education and have a one-sided understanding of the content of life education.English teachers seldom implement life education in teaching.The way of life education is unitary.Schools do not pay enough attention to life education.In view of these problems found in the research results,comprehensive analysis of the existing reasons and put forward reasonable improvement strategies.At first,we should give full play to the leading role of English teachers in life education and give them professional training and improvement.Teachers should strive to create English classes full of warmth of life.In the classes,they ought to explore the teaching materials and effectively integrate life education into the classroom.Secondly,teachers should insist on taking students as the main body,emphasize life experience and help them establish correct life consciousness.In our teaching process,we had better adopt a variety of teaching methods and create scenes to emphasize students’ life experience.Meanwhile,try to contact their life with life education,in order to sublimate students’ life value.Finally,the government should give full play to the role of school management departments in ensuring life education and formulate teaching objectives of life education.Try to improve the allocation of teachers and build a campus culture highlighting life care. |
