Comment On The Integration Of Traditional Cultural Symbols In The Movie Posters Of The Hai Hang

The introduction of the Western design basic curriculum in the last century has improved the overall level of design education in China and made great contributions to the internationalization of China’s design level,but the neglect of local cultural elements in the process of learning foreign design concepts has also laid hidden dangers for the "take-ism" and "excessive Westernization" of poster design later.How to better combine national culture with movie poster design on the basis of ensuring the basic communication function of posters and design works with cultural connotations is a problem that we should think deeply about.At present,the global film culture industry is developing rapidly.In the context of advocating and promoting the excellent traditional Chinese culture,and on the basis of understanding the aesthetic trends of Chinese audiences,Huang Hai,as a representative of the new generation of designers,spared no effort in promoting traditional culture.This paper is a case study of movie poster design based on Chinese traditional cultural symbols.The article takes the movie poster works of the famous contemporary graphic designer Huang Hai as the research carrier,and systematically analyzes and researches the design points,forms and traditional cultural elements of movie posters.,the main purpose is to explore the unique design techniques of Huanghai and the design ideas and connotations contained in his works.Around this theme,this paper mainly includes the following five aspects: The first part is the introduction,which expounds the background of the topic selection,the theoretical value and practical significance of the research,the research methods,and the current research status at home and abroad.The second part,the specific expression of traditional cultural symbols in Huanghai’s works,mainly organizes and analyzes the cultural symbols used in Huanghai’s design works from the micro level,extends to the origin and connotation of different cultural symbols,and deepens the understanding of traditional culture and art.The third part is the design strategies and techniques of Huang Hai’s works,the main content is to interpret Huang Hai’s works from the design techniques and design principles of posters.The fourth part analyzes and summarizes the philosophical connotation and aesthetic characteristics of Huang Hai’s design works from an abstract perspective and macro level.The fifth part is the design practice of "Henan Wonderful Tour" series of posters,combined with the current popular online short videos,to learn the design techniques and design concepts of the Yellow Sea,and to carry out design practice for promoting the local culture of Henan.It has become the consensus of designers to focus on the integration and utilization of traditional culture,but it is not satisfactory in design practice,and the use of traditional cultural symbols is a bit blunt.The design case of Huanghai provides us with a positive case.Taking Huang Hai’s design works as a typical case analysis will not only help the audience to re-understand the charm of traditional culture,but also provide new ideas for the design of Chinese movie posters,in order to promote the healthy development of Chinese movie posters and related industries.
