The Comparison Of Mainland And Hong Kong Poster Design In The Last 50 Years

As an exotic culture, poster entered Chinese market which, in practice, produced a new-style poster of Chinese characteristics . In Chinese mainland and HongKong , the poster styles are different due to different times background and different regional culture ,but they, both designed in Chinese language , still influence each other. Hong Kong poster, combining east and west culture,has achieved successful experience and formed its own particular style . In the past two decades , it set great example for development of the mainland poster design. In the 21 century , frequent communications in poster design are held between Hong Kong and mainland China , which promote the progress and highlight the Chinese poster design in world stage . Casting back poster's more than 50 years development , this thesis states the different and common ground in these two areas ,in order to hold the direction of the future of Chinese poster design .
