With the advent of the new media era and the continuous development of various social fields,the state has paid more and more attention to the importance of culture.As a part of Chinese traditional culture,in recent years,along with the integration of Western civilization and the evolution of social development,some traditional festivals have been drifting away from our lives.At the same time,MG animation,which is originated from traditional 2D animation,has been widely used in various industries in the digital era,which provides sufficient conditions for the inheritance and development of Chinese traditional festivals.And how to combine the traditional Chinese festival culture with the expression of MG animation is also worthy of in-depth exploration and research.This thesis will address the above issues,first of all,through a large number of literature reading to understand the new media,traditional festivals,MG animation concepts and basic theory,analysis of the relationship between the three.Secondly,the new media perspective of MG animation design style of four cases of understanding,analysis.Then,through the questionnaire survey on the understanding of traditional Chinese festivals and animation design style related issues related to the actual survey,and then summed up a set of conclusions applicable to the work itself.Finally,design practice is carried out according to design strategy.In practice,the author will make the feedback questionnaire according to the former,the middle and the latter three stages,and then put the works into the audience’s eyes.This thesis mainly discusses how to use the new media to promote the development of the Chinese traditional festival culture,so that more people can understand the Chinese traditional festival culture through this form of cultural communication.
