A Study On The Decorative Patterns In Fangshi Mop

As one of the four major ink recipes,the rich decorative patterns in the "Fang’s Ink Recipes" have become the main object of study in this paper.The first chapter gives an overview of the ink and the Fang’s Ink Recipe from the flourishing of the Hui ink to the transformation of the decorative style during the Wanli period.The second chapter starts from the classification of the Fang’s Ink Genealogy and explores the characteristics of the decorative patterns in the ink genealogy and the purpose of compiling and publishing.Chapter 3 analyzes the origin of the decorative motifs and the influence of the ink diagrams on later works,and draws out the literati spirit behind the ink recipes in terms of the order and inner meaning of the pattern arrangement.Chapter 4 focuses on the special features of the Fang’s Ink Book,highlighting its unique position in the ink-making industry through a horizontal comparison of ink books of the past generations.
