| In the early Qing Dynasty,the calligraphic world was in a delicate transition stage.Through the case study of Chen Yixi,a calligrapher in the early Qing Dynasty,this paper examines the foresight of his calligraphic thought and peeks at the germination of the tablet thought.Firstly,this paper discusses the ecological environment of calligraphy in the early Qing Dynasty.Then,it discusses the object of Chen Yixi’s learning and the changes of his view of calligraphy at different stages of his study.Moreover,the author reflects the change of Chen Yixi’s calligraphic view by exploring the collision between Chen Yixi and his friends,and communicates with Zha Sheng,who adopts Dong Qichang’s calligraphic style;From the same aesthetics with Lu Jiashu at the beginning to the debate caused by the "stirrup pulling method",it reflects the subtle changes in Chen Yixi’s calligraphic view after he praised the Beibei tablet;To some extent,the communication with Wuwen strengthened his admiration for the Beibei tablet;He Zhuo and Yang Bin share the same aesthetic sense,and they jointly advocate and praise the northern stele of Buddhism.Finally,the author makes a textual research on the influence of Chen Yixi’s worship of Steles in the Northern Dynasty and his contribution to the history of calligraphy.Chen Yixi was a key figure in the Kangxi period who highly praised the Beibei tablet.In his career as a calligrapher,he constantly changed the object of learning methods,and was obsessed with exploring the true meaning of calligraphy.His calligraphic thought broke the trend of single learning methods of calligraphy since the yuan and Ming Dynasties,and was very forward-looking.The study of Chen Yixi’s case can help us to see the change of calligraphy view in the early Qing Dynasty and the sprout of stele theory,and can also provide a useful reference for modern people to learn calligraphy. |
