Starting from the development of the lower case creation since the Yuan and Ming Dynasties, this paper deduces the causes of the style of the lower case in the late Ming Dynasty and the early Qing Dynasty and its artistic height through the analysis of the historical phenomena such as the spread of Zhong Yao’s calligraphy style, the prevalence of books of rubbings in the late Ming Dynasty and the emergence of the main axis calligraphy of the high hall.Combined with the case studies of Zhang Ruitu,Huang Daozhou’s "official script meaning" and Fu Shan’s inheritance and development of Yan Zhenqing, this paper sums up the common point of the lower case in the late Ming and early Qing Dynasties-"ancient quality".By comparing the lower case in the late Ming and early Qing Dynasties with Zhao Mengfu and Wen Zhengming’s,this paper summarizes the calligrapher’s concept of "learning from who they learn" during this period. On this basis, the author puts forward the view that "the lower case in the late Ming Dynasty and early Qing Dynasty is the foundation of their cursive script",and then discusses the influence and enlightenment of the lower case in this historical period. |
