Ni Zan,a famous painter of the Yuan Dynasty, wrote a reply to his friend’s request to paint. In the letter,he said: "the so-called painter of a servant is only careless, does not seek similarity in shape, and amuses himself.".It means that "the reason why I became a painter is just a few scribbled paintings, which are not required to be very similar, but only for my own entertainment".This sentence is ostensibly Ni Zan’s self humble words written to decline his friends, but it deeply contains Ni Zan’s painting spirit, his understanding of the pen and ink in painting, and the expression of painting aesthetic thought. It is also Ni Zan’s criticism of the shape similarity and stylization of contemporary people’s painting."Leisurely brushwork" not only represents Ni Zan’s appeal to the spiritual and cultural level in painting, but also his unique opinion on Chinese painting brush and ink.Chinese painting pays attention to pen and ink and artistic conception. It has a unique cultural and spiritual attribute, which is also an important feature of Chinese painting different from other kinds of paintings. The "leibi cursory" pays attention to breaking away from and abandoning the shackles of objects and images;"Do not seek similarity in shape",pursue nature, but can express individual demands, forming a self-centered pen and ink spirit and pen and ink artistic conception, which is consistent with the pen and ink spirit of Chinese painting. Therefore,"leibi cursive" is a cultural and artistic treasure worthy of repeated and profound excavation in future generations. The author will analyze the reasons for the formation of "leisurely brushwork" through the background of the times,Ni Zan’s personal experience and self character, and divide "leisurely brushwork" and "cursive brushwork" into two parts, analyze and study their connotation, and mainly analyze the paintings of Ni Zan and Liang Kai,and finally summarize the influence of "leisurely brushwork" on the author’s painting and painting thought,And express their views.
