Research On "Gazette Of Chongqing Municipal Government"(1939-1944)

On October 31,1939,the “Chongqing Municipal Government Gazette” was founded.The public officials of the Chongqing Municipal Secretariat served as editors and publishers.It mainly published the decrees and regulations promulgated by the Peidu government,and recorded meeting minutes,policy plans and various administrative departments.Review important orders issued.By the end of December 1943,51 issues of Chongqing Municipal Government Gazette were published.In January 1944,the newspaper was adapted into "Chongqing Municipal Affairs",and a total of 12 issues were published.As the government bulletin of the wartime capital,the "Chongqing Municipal Government Gazette" can to a certain extent reflect the ruling will of the companion capital Chongqing and the struggle of the Chongqing people during the war.At present,the academic community has not paid much attention to the "Chongqing Municipal Government Gazette",and the text analysis and editing features of the newspaper need to be further understood and explored.Based on the newspaper text of "Chongqing Municipal Government Gazette",Based on the newspaper text of "Chongqing Municipal Government Gazette",this paper fully uses content analysis method,literature analysis method and comparative analysis method to study the text published in the newspaper.The history of the establishment of the Bulletin,combing the newspaper’s founding environment,presiding and editing,sales and distribution.The history of the establishment of the Bulletin,combing the newspaper’s founding environment,presiding and editing,sales and distribution,and suspension and adaptation;the second part analyzes the text content of the newspaper.Although Chongqing,the accompanying capital of wartime,was ravaged by the Japanese army,it still insisted on strengthening the construction of public facilities,improving urban public health conditions,implementing wartime population evacuation and strengthening the construction of urban air defense system;the third part discusses the concept of running the newspaper,the way of publishing and the focus of content after the “Chongqing Municipal Government Gazette” was adapted into "Chongqing Municipal" in 1944.Changes occurred in such aspects;the fourth part analyzes the editorial characteristics of the newspaper.Through the study of various information in "Chongqing Municipal Government Bulletin" and "Chongqing Municipal Government",this paper believes that the content of "Chongqing Municipal Government Bulletin" is accurate and reflects the measures taken by the capital city of Chongqing in resisting air raids,building a city and managing society.Chongqing,the capital city,used the newspaper as a news media carrier to implement public affairs,build a government image,inspire the will of the people,and promote the process of the Anti-Japanese War.In addition,the concept of changing the newspaper to run a newspaper is clear.It is a newspaper with mainly public documents,multiple columns and opening up from the bulletin to the journal.“Chongqing Municipal Government Gazette”,as a newspaper reflecting the national government’s governance of Chongqing during the Anti-Japanese War,is helpful for further research on Chongqing,the capital city.
