Online Teaching Design And Practice Of Classic Quotes From The Analects For Foreign Student

Language and culture complement each other in the teaching of Chinese international education,and culture teaching is an important part that should not be ignored.As an excellent traditional Chinese culture,The Analects of Confucius has profoundly influenced Chinese culture and Chinese people’s thinking.Taking the intermediate level Chinese students in Qingdao University as an example,this study conducted an online cultural teaching practice and exploration of The Analects of Confucius’ classical quotations.By analyzing the core ideas in The Analects of Confucius and the content of The Analects of Confucius in the existing culture textbooks,this paper positions the course of The Analects of Confucius,selects the teaching contents of the course of The Analects of Confucius,and makes a lesson plan.From the eight themes of thought,four lessons were selected for detailed teaching design and practice,carry out thematic teaching research.Students have a higher understanding of the teaching content based on the results of the questionnaire analysis after the Topic 1 teaching practice.We analyzed from the satisfaction of teaching activities,students prefer interactive discussion and situational activities.Among them,the topic interactions became the most favorite interaction method for students.From the feedback analysis of students’ homework,we can see that students can make expressions using relevant quotations in their own real life.We also analyzed from the word count that students were more interested in classic quotations.After learning from the experience and shortcomings of Topic 1,Topic 2 was designed and practiced in this study.In the analysis of the students’ interviews after the class,they gave pertinent suggestions on such classroom details as the speed of speech and the way of presenting the text,for example.Finally,this study proposes teaching suggestions in terms of teaching content,teaching strategies and teachers’ own quality.The difficulty of teaching content is in line with students’ learning level,and teaching content is selected according to students’ interests.Strategies on line culture class teaching pay more attention to classroom interaction;at the same time,we should focus on using culture in life and promote teaching in three dimensions;at the same time we need to adjust the classroom structure and use guided reading students to learn independently before class and other recommendations.This study aims to be able to improve the design and practices of teaching The Analects of Confucius classical quotations to international students at intermediate Chinese level,and to provide practical experiences for teachers teaching The Analects of Confucius culture.
