Analysis Of Folk Music Elements And Performance Techniques In "Hungarian Rhapsody No. 4

Franz Liszt was the greatest musician during the Western Romantic period.He made outstanding contributions in musical performance,criticism and educating.The 19 Hungarian Rhapsody is not only a treasure of classical piano music,but also an important part of Liszt’s musical works.The whole set of piano works took Hungarian folk musical elements as root of creation,integrated with dramatically creative techniques and difficult performance skills,expressing Liszt’s love and attachment to Hungary.This paper taking the Hungarian Rhapsody No.4 as the research object,from the perspective of the creation background,analyzing the works of music noumenon and performance skills systematically,including the Hungarian folk elements,harmony,melody,speed and strength,and so on,dissect the key and difficult points of the works,meanwhile,combined with their actual playing experience and four pianist’s audio and video,the paper systematically discusses the technical difficulties of performing this work and provides theoretical and practical guidance for later performers.
