Franz Liszt is one of the greatest romantism music masters in western music history. He made outstanding contribution to composition, piano performance, conduct, music commentary and piano teaching. Hungary Rhapsody, including nineteen pieces with strong characteristics of Hungary by Franz Liszt took a distinctive course of his own in European musical field among which the second one is the most well-known and representative. Based on detailed information about Franz Liszt and his masterpiece Hungarian Rhapsody No.2, the writer analyses composing techniques of the Rhapsody No.2 deeply in terms of mode, tonality, musical form, harmony, rhythm, beat, melody and texture. The writer also makes further study in spread of Hungarian culture of folk music and integration with Liszt's musical aesthetic thoughts and national spirit of Hungary, and then comes up some viewpoints.
