In order to carry forward the fine traditional culture and enhance cultural confidence,we are required to make the past serve the present and bring forth the new in our study and application of traditional culture.Efforts should be made to inherit and innovate traditional culture in the direction of creative transformation and innovative development,and integrate it with the culture of the new era.Dunhuang culture is known as the art museum of the Oriental world.As one of the typical representatives of many traditional cultures in China,Dunhuang frescoes appear mysterious and fantastic due to their unique artistic images and religious spirit.The philosophical thoughts and humanistic spirit behind Dunhuang culture also provide spiritual support for the cultural development in the new era.The Tang Dynasty was a period of social and economic prosperity,advanced culture and high development in all aspects,especially in the heyday of the Tang Dynasty,it reached the peak of China’s feudal society.This period is also the stage of popular development of decorative patterns in Dunhuang grottoes.As one of the decorative patterns,the plant pattern plays an important role in Dunhuang frescoes.The article will study the plant patterns in the caisson pattern and the edge decoration pattern of the Dunhuang Mo Kao Grottoes murals in the tang Dynasty.First of all,using literature method,image study method discussed lotus pattern design,Traditional element evolution method,plant edging patterns and patterns of the group pattern geometry edging modelling structure and colour characteristics,based on the patterns of the plant and sunk panel design contains the geometric modelling,colour language adornment element analysis of the extraction and reconstruction have form aesthetic feeling of pattern design;Secondly,the application of traditional elements in current scented tea brand design is analyzed by data research method.Then,the traditional cultural elements and modern design are combined with the design practice method to design the scented tea brand design which not only contains the connotation of Chinese traditional culture but also meets the emotional needs of the current young consumers.The brand inherits the traditional culture while innovating,so that the brand can produce competitive advantages in similar products and has more humanistic value.The innovation of this paper is reflected in the following points: First,combing and summarizing the plant patterns of Dunhuang frescoes in the tang Dynasty,summarizing and refining the artistic characteristics of plant decoration;Second,through the combination of graphics,cutting,overlapping,overlapping and other design techniques,the plant pattern is divided,reassembled and redesigned,so as to express the concept of flower tea with the most intuitive image of plant pattern,and summarize the design of the integration of plant pattern and flower tea brand design.
