As the most important German composer across the nineteenth and twentieth centuries,Richard Strauss(1864-1949)had a creative career that most people cannot achieve.A considerable part of his works are still a high-frequency concert repertoire,such as the symphonic poem "Till Eulenspiegel","Also Sprach Zarathustra",the opera "Salome","Der Rosenkavalier",and the vocal works "Vier letzte Lieder".His works are not limited to a certain form or subject matter,but the changeable musical themes and creative techniques can be seen from their symphony creation.Compared with his series of symphonic poems at the end of the 19 th century,the audience is relatively unfamiliar to the Alps Symphony.This symphony poem of "lyric by emotion" contains the intriguing thoughts and feelings of Richard Strauss.Today,more than 100 years later,the lofty natural feelings in the works still exist.This paper is divided into four chapters,with Richard Strauss’ s Alps Symphony as the main research object,with the "wanderer" in the mountain climbing process as the clue,and the 22 scenes presented in the work as the observation perspective,to explore the uniqueness of this work.chapter one,Starting with the creation background and related evaluation of the Alps Symphony,Grasp the overall characteristics of the work presented in the history,And explore the special status in all Richard Strauss;chapter two,After an analysis of the work as a whole,Summarize the musical structure and the three musical structure principles of the Alpine Symphony,To position the most important "wanderer" theme in the work,Refining the music development logic of the work;chapter three,Analysis the important scenes in the work,And to interpret the emotional connotation given by Richard Strauss;chapter four,Focusing on the ideological interpretation of the Alpine Symphony,Further explore the philosophical meaning given to the work by Richard Strauss from three aspects.Finally,on the basis of a summary of the above four chapters,all the views produced in the text are refined to deepen the reunderstanding of the Alpine Symphony.Review all the creation of Richard Strauss’ s symphonic poems and compare them,further explore the special features of the work,and finally make the comprehensive evaluation of the artistic characteristics and artistic value of the work,and evaluate the overall symphonic poetry creation of Richard Strauss.
