A Study Of The Impact Of Cultural Capital On The Quality Of Economic Development

As China’s economy enters a new normal,economic growth is slowing down and taking on an "L" shape,and the search for new impetus to improve the quality of economic development has become an important factor in the overall development of the country.Cultural capital is a kind of accumulation of human spiritual life that can bring benefits to its owner,and has special characteristics such as symbolic,value,multiplication and mobility.How does cultural capital affect the quality of economic development and how does it affect it? This paper explores this issue from a theoretical and empirical perspective using an economic analysis.Based on the existing literature,this paper compares the relevant literature from three aspects: the theory of cultural capital,the quality of economic development,and the impact of cultural capital on the quality of economic development,and further investigates the measurement method and index system of cultural capital and the quality of economic development to provide a theoretical and data basis for the study of the impact of cultural capital on the quality of economic development.Specifically,this paper divides cultural capital into four categories: solid cultural capital,product cultural capital,physical cultural capital and institutional cultural capital,and uses hierarchical analysis to measure cultural capital.In terms of measuring the quality of economic development,this paper constructs a system of economic development quality indicators in the direction of "five development concepts",and uses the entropy method to measure the economic development quality index of 30 provinces and municipalities from 2000 to 2019;finally,it constructs an econometric model for empirical analysis.The conclusions of the study are as follows: first,the distribution of regional cultural capital at the provincial level in China is not ideal,showing the prevalence and severity of low levels,the limited high levels,and the significance of imbalance,in terms of time changes,the trend of changes in the stock of cultural capital is generally consistent,all showing a year-on-year growth trend;second,on the whole,from 2000 to 2019,the quality of economic development in China’s provinces and municipalities comprehensive index shows an overall upward trend,and in terms of spatial differences,the comprehensive index of economic development quality in the three major regions of China and the east and west have all improved to different degrees,but the quality of economic development in the central and western regions is lower,and the fluctuating trends of innovation,coordination,green,open and shared development quality in all provinces and municipalities are basically the same;third,cultural capital has a significant positive effect on the quality of economic development,and the classification of cultural capital on the five dimensions of quality indices are all positive contribution,the cultural capital in the eastern region and the western region has a positive contribution to the quality of economic development,while for the central region,the role of cultural capital on the quality of economic development is not significant,the role of cultural capital on the quality of economic development is positive under all cultural capital scale,but in the case of small scale,the role of cultural capital is not significant,with the scale of cultural capital As the size of cultural capital increases,the positive effect of cultural capital on the quality of economic development becomes larger and more significant,and there is an obvious "Matthew effect".Finally,some suggestions are provided to better promote the quality of economic development.
