Research On The Communication Narrative Of Chinese Character Cultural Documentary

In recent years,the Chinese government and various sectors of society have attached great importance to the dissemination of Chinese character culture.Large documentaries such as "Five Thousand Years of Chinese Characters","History of Chinese Characters",and a series of micro documentaries such as "The Character"Meets You "have been released one after another.Through the dual dissemination of visual and auditory means,the audience can intuitively understand the form,rhyme,meaning,and evolution process of Chinese characters,thereby enhancing their understanding and interest in Chinese character culture.At the same time,based on the real historical background and facts,we deeply explored the cultural connotation behind Chinese characters,improved the authority and credibility of communication,corrected some misunderstandings and prejudices about Chinese character culture,and enhanced the sense of national pride and cultural identity.In addition,the three documentaries showcase the culture of Chinese characters from multiple perspectives and levels,broadening the audience’s perspective and enabling them to appreciate the aesthetics of Chinese characters while also gaining a deeper understanding of their rich connotations in history,philosophy,morality,technology,and art.This thesis focuses on "Research on the Communication and Narrative of Chinese Character Documentaries",and interprets how the three excellent documentary works created by CCTV in recent years,"History of Chinese Characters","Five Thousand Years of Chinese Characters",and "Characters" from Meeting You,"showcase Chinese character culture one by one.The first chapter analyzes the characteristics of Chinese character cultural documentaries,pointing out the characteristics of Chinese character cultural documentaries in terms of content,audience,and media diversity,and establishing the analytical framework of the article.Chapter 2 provides a detailed discussion on the narrative themes,perspectives,and strategies of the three Chinese character cultural documentaries,summarizing the important role of Chinese character cultural documentaries in restoring historical facts,rendering narrative atmosphere,expressing emotional intentions,and constructing aesthetic connotations.The third chapter mainly elaborates on the narrative language of Chinese character themed documentaries,including the application and presentation effects of visual narrative language and auditory narrative language in Chinese character cultural documentaries.It explores how Chinese character cultural documentaries use narrative language to express the theme and atmosphere of the documentary,enhancing the audience’s understanding and feelings.The fourth chapter,as the final chapter of the thesis,elaborates on the experience gained in the dissemination of Chinese character culture in Chinese character themed documentaries,and summarizes the unique charm of Chinese character culture carried by documentaries,as well as their impact and significance in enhancing Chinese history and culture.The thesis comprehensively utilizes content analysis,case analysis,and comparative research methods,and from the perspectives of narratology and communication studies,conducts in-depth research on the narrative theme,narrative strategies,narrative language,communication effects,and the promotion of social aesthetic orientation and audience cognitive value by Chinese character cultural documentaries.It summarizes the narrative strategies and important roles of cultural documentaries in disseminating Chinese character culture,To provide experience and inspiration for creators and researchers of cultural documentaries,in order to better promote the dissemination and inheritance of Chinese character culture.
