A Study On The Status Of Marx’s "Two Notes" In Historical Materialism

Historical materialism as one of the most important theories in Marx’s life,since its inception in the nineteenth century,it has endured many doubts and challenges,in this process,Marx is also constantly exploring and researching.Until his later years,Marx turn to look at the vastness of human history,He worked hard to create the two notes,namely Anthropology notes and Notes of History.However,some Western scholars have borrowed these two works to put forward the theory of "Marx in his later years" in an attempt to break up the integrity of Marxist theory.In fact,these two notes are Marx’s further research and development of historical materialism based on specific historical research.Taking this as a starting point,this paper combines the two notes for research.From the overall perspective of historical materialism,it analyzes the supplement and development of the two notes to the theory of historical materialism,in order to highlight the status of the two notes in historical materialism.First,this article starts with the text overview of the two notes,and sorts out the writing background,writing reasons and main content of the two notes.Second,taking the western philosophy of history as the background,this paper expounds the development process of the initial form of historical materialism and the situation and challenges in the development of the times.The supplement of the theory,in response to many challenges and doubts,highlights the important position of the two notes in the historical materialism.At last,based on the reality,the two notes are interpreted,and the theoretical connotation of historical materialism is deeply explored,so as to further explore the theoretical value and practical significance of the two notes.The two notes place historical materialism in a broad historical perspective,and complete the supplement to the theory of historical materialism from three dimensions: ontology,epistemology and methodology.At the same time,on the basis of the new social development theory proposed in the two notes,Marx further proposed the leap-forward development of social forms,to provide a development direction for backward countries,the social theory of historical materialism has been further improved.In addition,Marx incorporated the entire world history into the study of two notebooks,and extend the vision to the entire eastern world,enriching and perfecting the world history theory of historical materialism.The two notes have also supplemented the method of historical research,mainly using the empirical method of historical research,which is complementary to the early method of "thinking from the back",played a huge role.
