Research On The Ideogramic Characteristics Of Font Design In Visual Communication

Based on the origin and development of characters and Chinese characters,this paper discusses the visual communication design from the aspects of "meaning" and "form".The "meaning" of characters is formed on the basis of the "form" of characters,which can be divided into "expressing meaning by form" and "expressing meaning by meaning".The creation of "form" and the transmission of "meaning" are both the isomorphism of form and the isomorphism of form and meaning,that is,the value of form depends on meaning and meaning depends on form.Therefore,the word must achieve the harmony of "form" and "meaning",in order to reflect the design of the aesthetic feeling,reflect its unique,accurate and effective expression.In the visual communication design and typeface design,we seek for a new way of thinking.The purpose of this paper is to understand and reconstruct the form and meaning of characters in order to meet the aesthetic needs of current design and to explore the possibility of the expressive features of characters in visual communication design.This paper is divided into five chapters,through the carding and analysis of the relevant literature,from a variety of different angles to study.This paper studies and analyzes the expressive methods of characters in modern design from the aspects of the basic theory of characters,the relationship between the expressive features of characters and visual communication design,the expressive methods of the expressive features of characters in visual design,and the enlightenment of the expressive features of characters in visual communication design on the forms of visual communication design.It makes a detailed analysis and discussion on the expressive methods of characters in modern design from the form and connotation of design as well as the application examples,and applies the research results to modern design.In addition,as a special artistic form,the character is characterized by its strong decorative and symbolic significance.The expressiveness of characters has its unique cultural implication and aesthetic concept,which is not only a specific form of expression and transmission of Chinese cultural and aesthetic concept,but also a way of combining modern design with traditional aesthetics.It is of great significance for us to understand Chinese traditional culture and understand its relationship with the spirit of national fine arts,thus injecting power into visual communication design and adding a new design idea.
