Nietzsche’s Tragic Aesthetics And Contemporary Research

Nietzsche’s tragic thought is a topic often discussed by scholars.Some scholars believe that Nietzsche’s thought is irrational or anti rational,so Nietzsche’s tragic thought is only an expression of anti-rational form or some unimportant form.Even among many researchers who attach importance to Nietzsche’s tragic thought there are different understandings and explanations about Nietzsche’s tragic thought.This study holds that there is not only a kind of Nietzsche’s tragic thought,but also accurately defines such thought as a kind of tragic aesthetics.Therefore,the analysis of Nietzsche’s tragic thought in each chapter of this paper will focus on the concept of tragic aesthetics,and use this as a benchmark to explain the contemporary changes of Nietzsche’s aesthetics.The second chapter first clarifies the theoretical origin and philosophical intention of Nietzsche’s tragic aesthetics.This paper transplants the aesthetic perspective from contemporary to pre-Socrates and different deformations in the Socratic period,analyzes the transformation of Greek tragedy by Plato and Aristotle,and then discusses the transcendence and healing possibility of Nietzsche’s art on nihilism from the perspective of Nietzsche’s overcoming nihilism.And then this chapter analyzes Nietzsche’s criticism of European progressivism and how art can surpass progressivism.After that the chapter analyzes Nietzsche’s negation of rational optimism since Socrates and the revision of the scientific spirit based on this idea.From these three levels,we can more clearly perceive Nietzsche’s high expectations for art and the goal of this expectation.The third chapter discusses two problems respectively.Firstly,it subdivides Nietzsche’s tragic aesthetics into five directions from the perspective of culture,and analyzes Nietzsche’s clarifies of German culture,tragic origin,tragic core,experience mode and value orientation.Then it discusses the practical role of Nietzsche’s tragic aesthetics in the re enlightenment of German culture and the function of anti-construction to philosophy system.The fourth chapter makes a contemporary interpretation of Nietzsche’s tragic aesthetics,and interprets modern aesthetics from the aspects of theoretical and practical value.Then it combs and defines the contemporary influence of Nietzsche’s tragic aesthetics from three aspects:politics,humanity and aesthetics.The conclusion of this paper briefly discusses the crisis of Nietzsche’s tragic aesthetics in examining the crisis of Western modernity,especially the decline of human essence represented by contemporary culture and art.Nietzsche tried to reconstruct the culture of Germany at that time and restart the modern evolution of Greek tragedy.Although this attempt ended in failure,he still explored different paths for the direction of modern human civilization and provided a reference for modern mankind to overcome nihilism.Nietzsche’s problematic rescue plan for the European modernity crisis actually gives strength to our contemporary research and exploration.The study of Nietzsche’s tragic aesthetics cannot only stay in Nietzsche’s own field of vision.We can only find the root of our own environmental problems and the limit of touching Nietzsche’s thought in the field of vision beyond Nietzsche’s tragic aesthetics.This is the ultimate significance of the study of Nietzsche’s tragic aesthetics.
