Father-co-parenting refers to the general term for the father’s support or destruction of the mother’s parenting goals or behaviors in the process of raising children.Depression is a complex stable and lasting negative emotional experience caused by negative life situations and characterized by low mood, lack of pleasure, and mental distress.Parentchild attachment is a deep, strong, and continuous emotional bond that an individual establishes with his father and mother.Peer attachment is an emotional bond formed by individuals through mutual help without the involvement of a third party. This study mainly analyzes the current situation of father’s collaborative upbringing,parent-child attachment, peer attachment and depression, and the relationship between the four, and then provides recommendations for reducing the depression level of high school students. In this study,659 students from two high schools in Tangshan City,Hebei Province, and Heilongjiang Province were tested using the Parental Cooperative Parenting Questionnaire(Youth Evaluation Version),the Parent-Child Attachment Scale, the Peer Attachment Scale, and the Epidemic Research Center Depression Scale. After analyzing and processing the data, the research results are as follows:(1)High school students’ fathers’ cooperative education level is above the middle level, with no significant gender difference, but there are significant differences in grade, family position, and only child.(2)Parent-child attachment of high school students is at the upper middle level. There is no significant difference in parent-child attachment in gender. And yet, with remarkable differences in grade, family location, and only child status.(3)The peer attachment level of high school students is above the middle level, and there are notable various in gender, grade, where I grew up,and only child status.(4)The depression level of senior high school students is lower than the middle level, and there are notable differences in gender, grade, where I grew up,and only child.(5)There is a significant correlation between father’s cooperative parenting, parentchild attachment, peer attachment and depression of high school students.(6)Parent-child attachment and peer attachment of high school students play a chain mediating role between father’s cooperative parenting and depression. Conclusion: Senior high school students’ father’s united and consistent co-parenting can positively predict depression, while father’s conflicting and derogatory co-parenting can negatively predict depression;Parent-child attachment and peer attachment can negatively predict depression.Father’s cooperative parenting can affect depression through the chain mediating effects of parent-child attachment and peer attachment. Therefore,we can strengthen parent-child attachment and peer attachment by improving the father’s cooperative parenting behavior, thereby reducing the frequency of depression in high school students.
