Harmony Technique Analysis To Guangping Cao’s "Symphony No.12"

Cao Guangping is a well respected music theorist,educator and composer in China.The“Symphony No.12” is a symphonic work composed by Mr.Cao.It is a work inspired by Chinese and foreign literature classics as well as drama.This article is an analysis of harmony technique of themes from each movement of Mr.Cao’s work "Symphony No.12",from both vertical and horizontal aspects.Through my analysis,Mr.Cao’s work is a work that combines Chinese traditional music,Western tradition and Contemporary music techniques.“Symphony No.12” is a work of Polystylism and musical elements.It is my hope that,through my research,I can summarize the use of multi-style fusion harmony techniques of Mr.Cao Guangping’s work,so it can provide both technical and new ideas for the innovative music of the time.
