The Reflection Of Reality In Films Of Love And Marriage Genre

In the history of Chinese film development,the theme of love and marriage has always been one of the main topics for creators to express their emotions.After entering the 21^stcentury,with the continuous emergence of domestic emotional and marital problems,the traditional conception system of love and marriage has gradually disintegrated.A new concept of love and marriage that pursues freedom,spontaneity,and attaches importance to individual feelings has begun to be established.The collision of this new and old concept has brought about soaring divorce rates,extramarital affairs,fear of marriage,polyamorous love,non-marriage and other social phenomena.Realistic love and marriage issues provide rich material for film creation,and films of love and marriage genre also reflect on reality in turn.This paper focused on the domestic love and marriage films since the 21^stcentury,and attempted to study the influence of marriage concepts,marriage obstacles and the brand of the times on the characters’love and marriage from the perspective of character setting.And through the research,the author found that films of love and marriage genre often expressed the following themes to reflect the current state of marriage.First,the individual lost himself（or herself）in his（or her）tragic marriage and faced with the unbearable status quo of marriage,the individual began to awaken himself（or herself）and sought the meaning of his（or her）life,confronting existence with creation;second,the criticism of the dual opposition between urban and rural society;third,to reflect on the domestic and foreign marriage culture.The research results of this paper are a reference and supplement to the research on the reality reflection function of film,which can not only provide more film creators with clear ways and methods of creating domestic love and marriage films,but also arouse the introspection of groups in the love and marriage stage.The author applied the two research results of"setting of the main characters"and"how to reflect on reality from film’s theme expression"to the creation of the script"True Love on the Road",creating a female image in the 21^stcentury who dares to break the traditional moral bondage and to pursue true love freely.The script took the protagonist Du Juan’s unfortunate marriage as the main line,and showed how the development of The Times,social transformation,invasion of foreign culture and other factors changed her marriage concept.This story reflected the changes of people and things in the real marriage relationship in the 21^stcentury.
