Information Scavenging: A Creative Design Study On Network Information Garbage Disposa

We are in an era of big data,and the rapid development of new media has facilitated people’s lives and expanded their access to information.People learn what is happening through the graphics and videos on various apps and share their lives through these.People began to be surrounded by the information spread all over the world,all kinds of information intertwined together,mixed with a lot of useless information,even harmful information,and driven by traffic and personal emotions,the transmission of effective information was hindered,and the Internet was stuffed with a bunch of invalid information,filled with emotions,violence,rumors and a bunch of spam that was difficult to be classified.Spam also has new images and text symbols,adding more disguises,and infiltrating people’s social media life in different forms.If one accepts it all at once without screening,one will be disturbed by many kinds of useless information,constantly being robbed of attention and desire for expression,losing the focus of life,and difficult to prevent and control.In the design research process,the author reads in depth the various manifestations and harmful effects of Internet information spam.Through comprehensive research,the author makes a comprehensive and rational summary of the causes and disadvantages of information spam,and integrates the three major classifications,existence characteristics,and manifestations of information spam.In the process of design practice,through the medium of book design and poster design,I drew on the style and design techniques of "wild design" of new media,and used text and graphic symbols as the main design elements to visually design the phenomenon of information waste,which is like a flood of unstoppable.The design of the project hopes to cause the viewer to reflect that as a user in the new media era,since online information is "unsubscribable",it is important to re-understand the value of human beings in the information era,learn to distinguish effective information from invalid information,actively resist bad information signals,and refuse to let oneself become a link in the chain of information spam dissemination.
