For Chinese learners from the zero starting point,the elementary comprehensive course of Chinese is more conducive to tapping their Chinese potential,cultivating the four basic skills and comprehensive ability in using language.Online teaching has great advantages,but there are also great challenges to some extent.In order to carry out effective online teaching,improving the teaching effect and completing high-quality online teaching design are the primary task of Chinese teachers.My internship experience in online teaching has also provided assistance in improving teaching design.This paper,implementing the purpose of guiding practice by theory and cultivating theoretical knowledge by practice,is supported by the related findings on the elementary comprehensive course of Chinese,teaching design and online teaching of Chinese as a foreign language.We fully investigated the teaching objects,did repeated practice and finally finished the instructional design for the eighth lesson How much is half a kilogram of apples in the first volume of the Chinese Language Course(the third edition).The first part is the introduction.It analyzes and summarizes the current research situation,which related to the instructional design.Also,we excavates research innovation points after explaining the reason for choosing the topic,clarifying the objectives and significance and determining the content and methods.The second part is the theoretical basis and teaching principles of instructional design.We select and analyze the theories,including constructivism learning theory,behaviorism learning theory and humanism learning theory;Then we discuss the principles of the elementary comprehensive course of Chinese,such as the principle of gradual progress and so on.The third part is the online teaching design of How much is half a kilogram of apples.Firstly,the teaching object,teaching environment,teaching platform and teaching materials are analyzed in the early stage;Then we will analyze the teaching objectives of How much is half a kilogram of apples from four dimensions,including knowledge,abilities,emotions and culture.Also,we need to determine the teaching contents of this course in five aspects,such as vocabulary,text,phonetics and grammar.It’s necessary to preset the key and difficult points of teaching,select the teaching methods and organize the teaching arrangement;Finally,it shows the specific implementation process of online teaching.The fourth part is evaluation and reflection,which mainly collects and analyzes information about students’ learning effect through questionnaires and after-class tests.According to the feedback of students and the obvious shortcomings of the paper,we propose our improved scheme to provide reference for online teaching of Chinese as a foreign language.
