An Analysis Of The Artistic Features Of Wei Zhongle’s Score "High Above The Moon"

The Moon Rises High is one of the large sets of traditional pipa civil music.In this paper,the author conducts an analysis of the audio data of The Moon Rises High in the musical album titled Traditional Instrumental Pieces of Wei Zhongle released by Hong Kong ROI Productions Ltd.,with a view of exploring the artistic characteristics of the said piece performed by Wei Chung-Ioh.The first chapter presents an introduction to the versions of The Moon Rises High.The second chapter analyzes the dynamics and tempo of the audio piece performed by Wei Chung-Ioh,as well as the characteristics of performance techniques on the left and right hands.Based on the above analysis,the third chapter lays out the artistic characteristics of The Moon Rises High performed by Wei Chung-Ioh.Meanwhile,The author about the traditional music in contemporary inheritance and development of thinking.
