Technical Study Of Traditional Mineral Colors In Contemporary Chinese Paintings

Since ancient times,mineral color has been widely used in Chinese paintings,murals,ceramics and other works.Throughout the past and present,the word "Danqing" generally refers to Chinese painting."Dan" refers to cinnabar,and "Qing" refers to cyan.Color has always reigned supreme.Before the Song Dynasty,color had always been dominant,and after the rise of literati painting,mineral color painting experienced a period of decline.After the reform and opening up,a freer creative environment has enabled the integration of Chinese and Western cultures.Heavy-color painting has ushered in a revival and new development.It is particularly important to study the application of mineral color and its techniques.This paper first briefly expounds the classification and development of mineral color,and then sorts out the application of its techniques in traditional painting.It explores the use of materials and techniques in the works of outstanding contemporary artists by means of comparison,literature analysis,and image analysis.Combined with the application of mineral color in his own creative practice "Life in a Mountain City",analyze the application of material selection,color language,and texture techniques in the graduation works,and discuss the artistic skills of mineral pigment materials and the emotional transmission brought by them.Shown in my graduation creation.The author believes that in order to promote the innovative awareness of Chongcai creation,technological update,and promote the aesthetic interaction of Chongcai.The practical application of mineral color and its techniques deserves further study.
