Under the background of economic globalization and the continuous improvement of China’s international status,international exchanges and cooperation have become increasingly active,the translation industry has maintained a momentum of rapid growth,and the role and status of the translation industry has become increasingly prominent,and China has also ushered in the rapid development of the translation industry.However,there are more and more enterprises entering the translation industry,and their competitiveness is lower than the average level.The demand keeps growing,but the value keeps declining.Therefore,the development of China’s translation industry is affected.If Chinese translation companies do not change this situation,it will be difficult to gain a firm foothold on the world stage.The staff management of translation companies has become a key factor for the development and expansion of enterprises,among which performance appraisal is the best way to effectively manage staff.However,the research on performance management of translation companies lags behind,which seriously restricts the rapid development of translation companies and translation industry.Based on this research background,BGTJ Translation Company is selected as the representative of the study to conduct an in-depth study of its performance appraisal status.The research goal of this paper is to establish a complete staff performance appraisal system suitable for Chinese translation companies by using the theories and methods of performance appraisal and combining with the industry characteristics of Chinese translation companies.Based on the enterprise development strategy planning,the system focuses on the scale of translation enterprises and enhances the competitiveness of Chinese translation enterprises in the international competition.In this paper,the literature research method is first used to describe the domestic and foreign literature related to performance appraisal,and the related concepts and theories in the field of performance appraisal are sorted out,which provides the relevant theoretical basis for the study of this paper.Secondly,the case study method to BGTJ Translation Company as an example,to understand the BGTJ Translation Company’s organizational structure,human resources and the current performance appraisal system.The problems existing in the current performance appraisal system of BGTJ Translation Company are analyzed by using interview method and questionnaire survey method,and the causes of these deficiencies are analyzed by combining various materials.Out finally,for the construction association,the scalability of the translation company staff performance appraisal system,BGTJ Translation Company employees as the assessment object design progress review,using the KPI assessment method,target management,key success factor method and assessment methods,such as fishbone diagram analysis,put forward the targeted performance appraisal optimization scheme and the safeguard mechanism.It is hoped that the research of this paper can provide reference for the performance appraisal of translation industry.
