A Study Of Yan Zhitui’s View Of Art

In view of the unique artistic concept and system,ancient Chinese is quite different from western artistic concept and system.In the period of Wei,Jin,Southern and Northern Dynasties,the class of scholars who came from noble families stepped onto the historical stage and established the basic structure of the cultural system and artistic system.Their artistic view also had an important impact on the later generations,which is worthy of indepth discussion.Yan Zhitui,a scholar in the Northern and Southern Dynasties,set up a "Miscellaneous Arts" chapter in the Yan Family Instruction,which covered calligraphy,painting,music and instruments as well as the art under the concept of modern art,also included the art under the concept of Fangshu,Boxi and non-modern art.In "Miscellaneous Arts",he put forward the artistic view of "enriched virtue and art","learning strength" and "content with superficial understanding".The reasons for this need to be discussed in his living context,ideological origin and the artistic system.This paper uses the method of context study from the perspective of ancient Chinese art concept to discusses Yan Zhitui’s art view.On this basis,it explores the art life and art concept of the scribes in Wei and Jin Dynasties,then enriches the research section of art view in the study of ancient Chinese art history;under the context study,it provides the research paradigm of Chinese ancient art concept into art view,so as to further improve the construction of Chinese art discipline system.
