A Study On Time Concept And Literary Expression Of Literati In Wei And Jin Dynasties

As a deep cultural psychology,the formation of the concept of time is closely related to human development.This thesis puts the time-related works created by the literati in Wei and Jin Dynasties into the broad background of The Times,and systematically interprets the concept of time and its expression from both content and form,including the overall grasp of the concept of time in Wei and Jin dynasties,and the analysis of the typical writers’ concept of time.The common characteristics and individual characteristics of the concept of time are involved.The text is divided into four parts.The first part elaborates the formation of the concept of time in Wei and Jin periods,which is divided into three sections.It includes the brief introduction of time and the concept of time,the historical origin of the concept of time,and the historical background of the formation and development of the concept of time in the Wei and Jin Dynasties,mainly including war,political environment,ideological changes and other factors.The second part mainly discusses the performance of time concept of literati in Wei and Jin,which is divided into two sections.The first section is the objective concept of time,which mainly expounds several objective characteristics of time.From the point of view of the direction of time,the passed time points to the past,irreversible return.The time that is passing points to the future and never stops.This feature is mainly reflected by the natural phenomenon of the change of four seasons and many personnel changes.The time of the future is difficult to grasp,the people and things in the future are difficult to grasp.The time specific to oneself has a beginning and an end.It is a limited period of time,which is closely related to the course of life.The second section is about the subjective time,and expounds the psychological phenomenon of time in literary works.The sense of time flying is very strong for literati,and when it is transferred to real life,the sense of short life is generated,among which the sense of instantaneous is more prominent,and contains the special emotional experience of short happiness and long sorrow.The dark night is often associated with life and death in literati’s writings,which becomes a special psychological time point.In some special time and space,the literati gave birth to the illusion and desire of time stagnation.The third part explains the time concept of several representative writers in Wei and Jin Dynasties.The works of Cao PI,Ruan Ji,Lu Ji and Tao Yuanming,whose lives and identities are different,are selected to analyze the different manifestations of the concept of time in each writer.Cao PI showed the emotional and sad concept of time as an emperor.Ruan Ji showed the natural and completely tragic time concept inspired by the dilemma of ideal and the pain of reality.Lu Ji shows the combination of abstract and contemplative concept of time.Tao Yuanming,on the other hand,expressed his detached concept of time out of anxiety.The fourth part is the writing way of time concept of literati in Wei and Jin Dynasties.Literati often use some artistic methods to express time,so that time in various forms in literary works.First of all,contrast is an important technique to express the concept of time in literary works.There are mainly two forms of contrast: the present and the past and the short and long.Secondly,Wei and Jin literati often used some sentence patterns to express the passage of time,"morning...Evening..." is one of the most commonly used sentence patterns,which contains multiple meanings of time.Moreover,the use of Bi and xing techniques in works is often related to time.Time is often used as an important content in the beginning of the works,which lays the tone of the works,enhances the atmosphere and expands the artistic conception of the works.
