On The Under-level Writing In Ha Jin’s Short Stories

As a first-generation Chinese American literary writer,Ha Jin’s short stories have achieved outstanding results,won many American Literary Awards,and attracted widespread attention.Analyzing the themes and themes of Ha Jin’s short stories,it can be seen that he pays a very deep attention to the "bottom",and his short stories show the living conditions and emotional expressions of many people at the bottom through meticulous narration and description,and also deeply explore the social environment and historical background of these people.This paper takes Ha Jin’s four published short story collections,"Strange People in a Small Town","Good Soldier","The Groom" and "The Landing" as the research object.Using the postcolonial theory,this paper probes into the shaping of the characters at the bottom,the construction of multidimensional space,the way Ha Jin expresses the bottom,the exploration of the source of the bottom writing and the critical discussion of Ha Jin’s novels.This paper consists of three parts: introduction,text and conclusion.The text is divided into five chapters.The first chapter starts from the shaping of the bottom characters in Ha Jin’s novels,divides the bottom characters into rural bottom characters and urban bottom characters according to the geographical space,and explores the writing characteristics of the bottom characters.The second chapter points out the social and cultural significance conveyed by different Spaces in Ha Jin’s novels from the perspective of space.The third chapter takes writing skills as the starting point and summarizes and analyzes the artistic characteristics of Ha Jin’s bottom writing.The fourth chapter probes into the origin of Ha Jin’s low-level writing.The marginalized growth experience and the creative ideas held by Ha Jin are the basis of his low-level writing.The fifth chapter examines Ha Jin’s works from a critical point of view,and discusses how overseas creators can tell Chinese stories well and give full play to their unique overseas resource advantages.By showing the life and fate of the people at the bottom,Ha Jin reveals their suffering experience,inner feelings and helpless situation,profoundly reflects the situation and survival of the bottom characters in social reality,and also stimulates people’s thinking and reflection on social injustice.In addition,Ha Jin’s "bottom" writing is also reflected in the attention and reflection of social issues,and his novels often deal with social issues,such as human rights issues,corruption,and so on.Research shows that Ha Jin’s short story "Bottom" is prominently written,touching the imprint of the times in silence,showing the social problems faced by human beings through the construction of "bottom",and pointing out the survival dilemma and moral dilemma faced by the "bottom".It also recognized Ha Jin’s contribution to the development of Chinese American literature.
