The Collation And Study Of Tongjia In The Bronze Inscriptions Of The Western Zhou

In unearthed documents,the complex phenomenon of Tongjia increases the difficulty of textual research and interpretation of ancient Chinese characters.Systematically organizing and studying the phenomenon of Tongjia helps to summarize the law of Tongjia and also helps to correctly interpret ancient Chinese characters.In recent years,with the discovery and publication of a large number of Warring States character materials,the collation and research of the Warring States common false characters have achieved relatively fruitful results.In contrast,the collation and research on the phenomenon of false inscriptions on bronze in the Western Zhou Dynasty are relatively weak.With the development of paleography and Chinese historical phonology,scholars have realized that the conclusions drawn from textual research on characters under the old phonological system may not be sound reasonable.Ancient philology requires a more accurate and practical ancient phonological system to ensure the correctness of textual research results.Based on the above considerations,we have taken the reliable Tongjia characters in the bronze inscriptions of the Western Zhou Dynasty as the object of collation and research,and conducted a more comprehensive collation and investigation of them,hoping to provide a more reliable reference material for related fields such as paleography,Chinese historical phonology,history,and philology.This article is divided into two parts.The first part is an introduction,which defines the scope of reference to "Tongjia" in the paper,clarifies the research object of the paper,and discusses the research ideas and significance of the paper;Illustrated the existing research situation,research monographs,and articles;Finally,the research method of the paper is explained.The second part is the examples of Tongjia,which lists the identifiable examples of Tongjia in the bronze inscriptions of the Western Zhou Dynasty.Each group of examples is sorted according to the rhyme and initial consonant reclassified by the New system of old chinese reconstructions.Each group of interchangeable character examples is marked with the phonetic symbols and the phonetic categories to which the phonetic symbols belong,and relevant vocabulary examples are listed.The sources of important points,phonological relationships that need to be explained,and other points that need to be discussed are explained along with the text.
