Under the background of convergent media, short videos are widely used and users’ demands are increasingly diversified.Traditional propaganda and education objectively is not easy to meet the needs of students. At present, the state advocates the diversification of labor education in colleges and universities, and labor courses are introduced into the classroom. The work takes a more campus-based perspective to record warm clips of daily activities between students and ordinary workers represented by canteen chef in the form of short videos shot with mobile phones. In order to show that those "labor courses" off the curriculum have a silent and subtle effect on the growth and all-round development of students. The work begins with a visit to Tong who had taken the postgraduate entrance examination in 2022 and successfully realize "the second greatest happiness" that his grandparents said four years ago.Tong and other representatives of college students,Ramen brother and other representatives of the canteen chef, the two main characters in the work alternately flash. The embedded material is mainly from more than 10 original heart-warming short videos of students and ordinary campus workers represented by the canteen chef of Jilin University. These short videos are the author’s efforts to study the interaction between students and ordinary workers around him after he was admitted to Jilin University as a postgraduate student.Once a reporter for traditional paper media,he returned to campus to pick up his mobile phone and work as a campus photographer. He was busy in the time of the new semester,Mid-Autumn Festival,National Day,autumn harvest and Winter Solstice and so on.In reality and in the lens,he felt the dedication and innovative spirit of ordinary campus workers represented by canteen chefs,as well as the growth of students in the "labor course" off the curriculum.Collins’ interactive ritual chain theory puts forward four aspects: physical presence, outsider limitation, common focus and emotional connection. It emphasizes the importance of context, emotion and symbol to social micro-interaction.On campus, each short video shot by the author centered on the master and college students is a micro scene in the interactive ceremony chain, and the emotional energy transmission scenes can be seen at multiple consecutive different time points such as the beginning of school,Mid-Autumn Festival and National Day.In addition, based on the ordinary workers who interact with college students are college canteen staff. In this study,10 short news video works related to this are specially selected and sorted into text, and combined with big data text word cloud, the common focus of canteen staff and college students is further analyzed, and the occurrence point of high emotional energy is found.Through the analysis of the interactive results, further explore the influence of "labor course" off the curriculum on college students.Through the experience observation and interview,it is found that there are many opportunities for college students to contact and interact with ordinary workers in their daily lives. On many occasions, such as dormitories(dorm keepers),classrooms(cleaners),canteens(chefs),etc.,these ordinary workers are dedicated, innovative and fridendly. They interact with students in the process of work and produce empathy, which plays a subbtle role in the growth and all-round development of students. In this regard,it is proposed to expand the diversified labor education in universities, and the ordinary workers around students should not be ignored. The improvement of professional quality and the innovative spirit of these ordinary workers are also the focus of media and audiences.
