Study On Standardization And Diversity Of Conducting Gesture

The Yellow River Cantata is a work composed during the time of national crisis,which not only carries the history of China,but contains indomitable spirit of Chinese people.It possesses extremely high artistic value and profound cultural connotation.Each movement of this work adopts different composing styles,presenting rich and diverse musical effects,which provides a broad space for conductors while designing the body language.The present thesis focuses on the standardization and diversity of Conducting Gesture.First,taking the work Yellow River Cantata as example illustration,selecting sections with different musical elements and emotional expressions,the author discusses standard conducting techniques mainly including the handling of pre-beat,ictus and rebound,dynamic and tempo,continuous and prolonged notes as well as diverse gestures with different timbres.Next,through performance version comparison,the author analyses and explores the diversity of conducting gesture.
