With a century-long tradition of writing vernacular literature, the original grand historical narrative is no longer applicable to the modernized countryside that has been tested at various points in time. However, they still write about the countryside with sincerity and enthusiasm, making use of the everyday writing of the countryside, which has long been obscured by ideology and abandoned by grand narratives,to re-enter the countryside and the individual experiences of rural life in order to reflect a graspable and reliable rural reality. The daily life of the countryside in the new era is no longer the criticism of poverty, backwardness and feudalism, nor is it the imagination of blandness, peace and tranquility, which are not sufficient for the expression of rural reality. This "lifestream" narrative is a double simulation of rural life and rural life forms, unlike the "daily narrative" of neo-realism,which is not zero-degree,but allows characters to occur naturally in daily life, with sincere care. The mere repetition of the fragments of life makes the vernacular writers fall into the double pressure of fighting against the grand narrative and beware of the extreme fragmentation of the narrative, and the "village consciousness" provides an opportunity to break through the triviality of the rural daily narrative. The center of rural daily narratives gradually shifts from the "individual" to the "village".However, folklore, which plays a supportive role in the vernacular society, gradually recedes in the daily life of the countryside, making the expectation of reaching the rural wholeness through the "village" as the main narrative subject once again hindered, and rural folklore continues to weaken and fragment in the vernacular literature of the new century. The writers who insist on writing about folklore are willing to go deep into the borderlands and sing the elegy of traditional folklore with the relatively primitive borderland culture. The emergence of female vernacular writers in the new century has enabled the long-obscured female vernacular experience to be presented, injecting new vitality into the vernacular narratives that have been dominated by the "male vernacular narrative discourse".The female vernacular narrative is particularly delicate in its consideration of the meaning of daily life and rural individuals, and its observation of rural women’s real state of existence opens a new window for us to measure the modernization process of China’s countryside. While the warm and plain atmosphere of the countryside under the pen presents a poetic aesthetic style,it inevitably falls into the quagmire of excessive sentimentality, thus obscuring rational discernment.Under the Wilderness" is influenced by Fu Xiuying’s brilliant poetic realism in"The Stranger".Through the diversified perspectives of "scattered narratives" and the language of the scattered culture, the daily life of the countryside in the second half of modernization is restored as objectively as possible, showing the inner changes of people living in it.The text’s emphasis and care for rural life experience and individual life is the insistence on and practice of literary "idealism",as well as the emotional consolation for the pain of modernization and transformation suffered by"rustic China".
