A Lexical Study Of Ji’an Dialect In Jiangxi Province

This paper takes Ji’an dialect vocabulary as the object of investigation,according to the Chinese Dialect Vocabulary Investigation Table of the Chinese Academy of So cial Sciences,and combined with the field survey,collects Ji’an dialect vocabulary as comprehensively as possible and arranges it to make Ji’an Dialect Classification Voca bulary.First of all,it reveals the morphological and semantic characteristics of Ji’an di alect vocabulary by comparing it with Mandarin vocabulary from a synchronic perspe ctive.Then,it investigates the archaic and innovative words of Ji’an dialect vocabular y from a diachronic perspective to explore their etymological characteristics.Finally,i t further excavates the folk concept behind Ji’an dialect vocabulary in combination wi th folk vocabulary,so as to achieve the most comprehensive understanding of the voc abulary of Ji’an dialect.This paper is roughly divided into the following parts:Introduction.This paper introduces the basic situation of Ji’an from three aspects:geographical location,population and ethnic group,and historical evolution,and explai ns the research status,significance,purpose and method of this paper.The first chapter formulates the classified vocabulary of Ji’an dialect.Based on t he survey of more than 3200 entries in the Chinese Dialect Vocabulary Survey Table(2003)by the Institute of Languages of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences,and c ombined with the field survey,necessary additions and deletions are made to the voca bulary,so as to search and sort out all kinds of vocabulary of Ji’an dialect as compreh ensively as possible.The second chapter describes the phonetic system of Ji’an dialect.This paper intr oduces the sound,rhyme and tone system of Ji’an dialect,and describes several situati ons of the changes in the flow of words under the sound system of Ji’an dialect.The third chapter makes a horizontal comparison with Putonghua vocabulary fro m the synchronic perspective.This paper mainly compares it with Putonghua in terms of morphology and meaning,and reveals the morphological and semantic characterist ics of Ji’an dialect vocabulary.The fourth chapter investigates the inheritance and innovation words in Ji’an dial ect vocabulary from a diachronic perspective to illustrate the inheritance and develop ment relationship between Ji’an dialect vocabulary and ancient Chinese vocabulary,s o as to analyze the etymological characteristics of Ji’an dialect vocabulary.The fifth chapter starts from the folk culture of Ji’an region,excavates the vocab ulary with more regional characteristics,and shows the folk concept of Ji’an region.
