A Practical Study On The Self-reflection Technique In The Creation Of Private Documentarie

Private documentaries are documentaries in which the filmmakers point the camera directly at themselves or their families,showing the creators’ own feelings about life.The self-reflection method advocates the combination of "subjective participation" and "self-examination",which is in close agreement with the idea of "creator subjectivity" of private documentaries.In fact,the self-reflexive technique is also used improperly in private documentaries,mainly in the three aspects of truth and fiction,the degree of involvement and privacy protection,and ethical issuesThis study takes the self-reflection technique in private documentary as the main research object,from the practical research angle,mainly responds to the question of how to use self-reflection technique properly in private documentary creation.Through combing and summarizing the relevant literature and film works,this paper summarizes the features of the existing self-reflection technique in private documentaries,and provides reference for practical creation.By means of self-reflection,the author created the private documentary "The Old Fang Family",which realized the organic unity of subjective will and objective reality.Summarize the experience and reflect on the shortcomings of this practice to provide new ideas for the use of self-reflection in future private documentaries.This article mainly discusses in four parts: firstly,the introduction part explains the concept of private documentary,self-reflection technique,and combs its development context and application status respectively,puts forward the improper use of self-reflection technique in private documentary,mainly in the following three aspects: truth and fiction,degree of intervention and privacy protection,and ethical and moral issues;Secondly,the author tries to summarize the use of self-reflection in private documentaries from three aspects: intervention strategy,plot promotion and aesthetic experience.In addition,based on the practice of the private documentary "laofang family",this paper explores the effect of self-reflection in the private documentary: within the lens,increase the intervention form of director-camera dialogue;Off-camera,through the director confessional narration,tandem plot,the realization of gentle self-reflexion;As well as adopting chronological order,multi-angle lens switching,recording objective real life story,and realizing the organic unity between the subjective will of the creator and the objective reality pursued by the documentary.Finally,the author puts forward a summary of the degree of clear intervention,attaches importance to the role of narration,and opens up the narrative creation close to life,and reflects on the shortcomings of this practical research.
