| "Camel Xiangzi" is The representative work of Mr.Lao She,which occupies an important position in the history of Chinese literature,and the novel has been translated into more than a dozen languages such as English,French,Japanese and Spanish.In "Camel Xiangzi",cultural load words reflecting Chinese culture abound,and whether or not the appropriate translation strategy can be used to deal with these cultural load words is the key to the success of the translation of the novel.Language is the carrier of culture,words are the basic components of language,and cultural load words that carry a large amount of cultural information have long been an important topic of concern for scholars at home and abroad.Cultural payload words are words,phrases,or idioms that mark something unique to a culture.When translating cultural load words,on the one hand,it is necessary to consider the special cultural connotation of the source language,on the other hand,to take into account the language specifications of the target language,and the obstacles to understanding and the difficulty of expression bring many challenges to many translators.Combined with the division of cultural factors by the famous American translation theorist Nida,this paper divides the cultural load words in "Camel Xiangzi" into:(1)ecological culture load words;(2)material culture load words;(3)social culture load words;(4)language and culture load words.Taking the representative cultural load words as the research object,the translation methods and translation strategies are analyzed and studied,and it is found that due to the differences between the Han and Kazakhs in terms of geographical environment,living habits,food culture,etc.,it is difficult to reproduce the meaning of the source language in equal values during translation,and it is crucial to rationally use translation methods and translation strategies.When translating cultural load words,a single translation method and strategy should not be adopted,and the naturalization and alienation strategies should be flexibly combined to achieve the purpose of cultural exchange according to the translation purpose,the translated audience and other factors.This paper is divided into six parts:Introduction: It mainly introduces the purpose and significance of the research,analyzes the research status of culturally loaded words in the Kazakh translation of "Camel Xiangzi",and briefly describes the research methods of this paper.Chapter 1:Summarize the definition and classification of culture-loaded words.The second chapter expounds the translation principles and translation methods of culture-loaded words,and summarizes the translation difficulties of Chinese culture-loaded words.Chapter Three: Combined with the translation example of "Camel Xiangzi",it discusses and analyzes the Kazakh translation methods and strategies of culturally loaded words in "Camel Xiangzi".Chapter 4: Through the analysis of the previous chapter,it expounds the problems existing in the Kazakh translation of "Camel Xiangzi",and puts forward corresponding optimization suggestions.Conclusion:Summarize the full text,explain the conclusions and deficiencies of the paper. |
