A Study On Commercial Ethics In The Qingshui River Basin From The Perspective Of Documents

From the Qing Dynasty to the Republic of China,the forestry trade in Qingshui River Basin prospered unprecedentedly.In order to cope with the gradually prominent problems in commercial activities,regulate the merchants’ behavior in market operation,and safeguard the common interests of Qingshui River merchants,a set of guiding commercial ethics was gradually formed in practice.The commercial ethics of Qingshui River Basin is essentially the professional ethics recognized by the merchants of Qingshui River,which includes the business norms,codes of conduct and values that the merchants must follow when doing business.Its connotation is not only rich in the ethical spirit of the Confucian tradition,but also reflects the regional characteristics of Qingshui River Basin.It is the product of the exchange and integration between the minority cultures in Southwest China and the Confucian culture in Central China.It is the crystallization of long-term development of forestry economy in Qingshui River Basin.These commercial ethics are helpful to regulate the interest relationship of Qingshui River merchants and enhance their moral cultivation,so as to maintain the stable operation of the market and the social integrity.The commercial ethics of Qingshui River Basin has played a very important role in the historical development of Qingshui River Basin,and has also played a very important positive role in the development and enrichment of China’s commercial ethics.Its main connotation of "honesty based","peace is the most important" and "justice first" still has a positive reference value for today’s socialist market economy.In addition to the introduction,this paper can be divided into two parts.The first part is the first chapter,which mainly analyzes the background of commercial ethics in Qingshui River Basin,including natural conditions,social conditions and cultural conditions.The materials used are mainly prefectural records and genealogies related to Qingshui River Basin.The second part is the main content of this paper,including the second,third and fourth chapters,mainly analyzes the connotation and performance of commercial ethics in Qingshui River basin,as well as the role and value of these commercial ethics.The second chapter takes contract documents as the main material,and analyzes the "honesty based" business norms of Qingshui River merchants and the regional uniqueness of the commercial ethics by comparing with Shanxi merchants and Anhui merchants.The third chapter,with litigation documents as the main material,sums up the Qingshui River businessmen’s code of conduct of "peace is the most important" through the summary of a large number of pleadings and government judgments,and analyzes the positive and negative effects of this commercial ethics.The fourth chapter,with letters as the main material,studies the Qingshui River businessmen’s moral standard of "justice first" and the specific influence of this commercial ethics on their business behavior through the method of case analysis.The conclusion not only summarizes the previous content,but also analyzes the enlightenment and reference significance of the commercial ethics of Qingshui River basin to the reality combined with the current reality.
